This is the simple guide to what to do if you get a restriction or ban.

When you get restricted, you need to appeal in app

To address this, you will need to submit an appeal through the app.

You can do this by tapping on the ban notification and using the appeal button.

Please note that appeals that do not meet the necessary criteria will be rejected.

If your first-time appeal for your LIVE permission is rejected, please go to the inbox and find the rejection letter to check the reason, click into the letter and the appeal button is on the top right.

Only if you get it rejected again, can we ask for a manual review. So unless you appeal in app, TikTok will always reject an Agency appeal.

If you are restricted for an age restriction, it’s normally a simple process to appeal, sometimes we will need to get them to lift it, but again only after you followed the in app process.

If it’s a ban for 2 years (UB-18) which often happens with Under 18 bans, you need to appeal, and send in one of the requested documents that TikTok asks for, once that ban is listed then you won’t get that type of ban ever again.

If its for Exploitation & Abuse,Sexual Exploitation and Gender-Based Violence, if you have used words like slag and called someone names then it won’t be lifted, you have to wait the 7 days.

If its for Nudity & Sexual ActivityAdult Nudity & Body Exposure then just appeal and most of the times the appeal will be lifted automatically, you may have to appeal the appeal though.

If it is for High Risk & Regulated ActivitiesDangerous Activities & Challenges, then appeal, and general the appeal will be upheld, unless you really have done something dangerous. Sometimes you get this kind of ban because the system thinks a vape is a knife etc.

So basically, appeal in app, twice using the in app system, if they fail, then ask your manager to look into it.
